AGCM 3103 • Summer 2020 Page 1 Descriptive Writing Peer Review AGCM 3103 • Summer 2020 Peer reviews will be done on Canvas. We will assign peer reviews once the submission deadline for the draft has passed. You will be required to complete two peer reviews. You must submit your Descriptive Writing Draft essay on time to be eligible for completing the peer reviews. Draft grades will be primarily based on the completeness of your essay as well as the thoroughness of your peer reviews. For each peer review, you must: 1. Fully mark up the entire essay (see helpful video) • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkgPvezGpX8 2. Add comments/a summary with general feedback on the essay 3. Complete the rubric You must follow this order or you will lose access to your peers’ papers before you have completed your reviews. Points for Peer Review: • Draft: 5 pts • Edit Marks: 10 points • Rubric: 5 pts • Comment/Summary: 5 pts Questions to Consider: 1. Is the topic of the paper professional in nature? 2. Does the paper explain a process (how to fit a steer, how to plant a flower bed, etc.) or a significant event (first experience at a state fair, vacation, etc.) that happened to your peer? 3. Was a SPECIFIC topic chosen? • For example, instead of describing their entire baseball career, they should focus on their first baseball game.
